The Bruno (Brüno) movie trailer, (the red band trailer, restricted trailer) begins with type on screen that reads "Three years ago, Sacha Baron Cohen introduced moviegoers to a character critics called... 'Vulgar... Shocking... and F**king Hilarious' Ain't It Cool News. 'Brilliant' Colin Colvert Minneapolis Star Tribune. 'Lavatorial' Anthony Lane The NewYorker." Other adjectives scroll past before the screen resolves to "Borat" and finally "That was so 2006".

We see Bruno (Brüno) Sacha Baron Cohen walking down a cobble lane carrying a microphone. Bruno (Brüno) holds out the microphone and says "Vassup, I'm Bruno (Brüno). I'm here at Milan Fashion week." We see Bruno (Brüno) walking in different outfits.

Bruno (Brüno) declares that he is going to wear a jumpsuit made entirely out of velcro. We see Bruno (Brüno) back stage at a fashion show where he sticks to a backdrop and racks of clothes and ultimately stumbles onto the catwalk.

The next scene takes place at a Sears store where Bruno (Brüno) proclaims "You may find this hard to believe, but I'm gay." We cut to a wide shot where Bruno (Brüno) is wearing a mesh shirt as part of an outrageous outfit. Along with a placard that exclaims "real people" we see Bruno (Brüno) sitting around a campfire at night with some rough and tumble outdoorsy types. Bruno (Brüno) exclaims that "we are so like the sex in the city girls" to which the others reply "Oh no we ain't."

Bruno (Brüno) says in voice-over over images of Bruno (Brüno) wearing different outrageous outfits "Brangelina's got one, Madonna's got one, now Bruno's (Brüno) got one." A brown box on a luggage carrier in an airport appears and Bruno (Brüno) liftts a small black baby out of the box. We see title placards identifying the "Richard Bey Show" where Bruno (Brüno) is a guest in front of a largely black audience. Bruno (Brüno) upsets the crowd by stating that he gave the baby "a traditional African name, OJ."

In the next scene Bruno (Brüno) is being introduced to people at a swinger's party. One woman with large breasts orders Bruno (Brüno) to take off his underwaear. Bruno (Brüno) remarks on the size of the woman's breasts and exclaims "you must produce a lot of milk." She whips him with a belt and begins to chase him around the room while whipping him.

Bruno (Brüno) appears in unusual military garb in a barracks. Two drill instructors ask him what "D & G" stands for - which is empbossed on his belt buckle. Bruno (Brüno) replies "Dolce and Garbanna, hello?" to which the drill insructors take offence. In escalating mayhem we see various scenes of Bruno (Brüno) being pursued by various groups of people. Finally we see Bruno (Brüno) holding a dildo in his hand asking a karate instructor how one might "protect yourself from a man with a dildo?" The main kicks the hand with which Bruno (Brüno) is holding the dildo.
